This handmade glass bead bracelet is inspired by green sea turtles, the largest of all hard-shelled sea turtles.

This stretch bracelet measures 17.5 cm / 7 inches in length. This adjustable bracelet fits any size of wrist between 13 cm (5.2 inches) and 24 cm (9.5 inches.) Green sea turtles can be found in tropical and sub-tropical waters around the world; in the western Atlantic, as far north as Massachusetts in summers. Nesting occurs in over 80 countries. They can grow up to 4 feet long and 400+ pounds. Green sea turtles are an endangered species their population has decreased by 90% in the last half century. Despite conservation agreements around the globe, the main threats remain the over-harvesting of eggs and adults, and from accidental mortality in the nets and long lines of fishing and shrimping fleets. Artificial lights confuse ocean-bound babies, causing them to lose their way. Real estate development eliminates their nesting habitat. And cast-off plastic bags, fishing lines, and other trash can suffocate, strangle or otherwise harm the animals.
